If you’re a college student, two things are likely to be true: You probably love consuming streaming media, and you’re probably broke. But if you need to cut back your entertainment budget, there might be a way to do it without canceling one of your streaming subscriptions—a handful of major services offer discounts to college students, and all you need to get them is to verify your status using your .edu email address.

These deals won’t last forever, so make sure to check out your options while you’re still eligible.

SpotifyNormally $9.99 per month, you can get Spotify Premium at a discounted rate of $4.99 per month if you sign up for their student discount. You’re allowed to renew your student subscription every twelve months, for a maximum of three additional twelve month periods. Additionally, you can get a free month-long trial before you begin paying the student price.

Hulu: Normally $6.99 per month for the ad-supported plan, you can get a subscription for Hulu for just $1.99 per month if you sign up for their student discount. Unfortunately, there is no student discount available for a premium Hulu subscription. Another bonus: Hulu can be bundled with the aforementioned Spotify student subscription for a total of $4.99 per month.

Showtime: Normally $10.99 per month, you can get a subscription to Showtime for $4.99 per month for signing up with a student discount—and you’ll get Hulu and Spotify too. You’re allowed to renew your student subscription every twelve months, for a maximum of three additional twelve-month periods.

Paramount +: Normally $4.99 per month, you can get a 25% off discount for a subscription to Paramount+ if you sign up for their student service, and pay $3.74/month. Once your student status has been verified, your discount is valid for 4 years, even if you graduate before the 4-year period. Note this discount is for their Essential plan (read: with commercials), and does not include your local live CBS station, but it does still include NFL on CBS and EUFA Champions League games.

Discovery+: Normally $4.99 per month, you can get a subscription to Discovery+ for $2.99 per month if you sign up with their student discount. You can keep paying this price for as long as you can verify your student status, though you will have to reverify every twelve months. This discount is applied to their ad-lite plan; if you want to go ad-free, you’ll have to pay the regular rate.

Apple Music and Apple TV+: An Apple TV+ subscription is included for free when you sign up for the Apple Music student subscription. An Apple Music subscription will only run you $4.99 per month, compared to the $9.99 regular price tag. You can pay this discounted rate for up to 48 months after you’ve verified your student status.

YouTube PremiumNormally $9.99 per month, you can get a subscription to YouTube Music for $4.99 if you sign up with their student discount. Included in the plan are the ability to watch unlimited videos uninterrupted by ads, download videos to your phone/laptop, and an ad-free subscription to YouTube Music. You’ll be eligible for this price for up to 4 years, and you’ll be required to reverify your eligibility every year.
