June 15, 2004, I was at
work browsing the internet for some Christian resources
when God led me to Living Waters’ website. I seen
the words “Hell’s Best Kept Secret—It
may be the most important message you may ever listen to”
and desperately wanted to listen to it but I had to wait
until I got home from work. I immediately called Shayna
telling her about the message and that I couldn’t
wait to see what this teaching was all about. As I listened
to that 50 minute life changing message tears came to my
eyes. I said to myself “This is it, this is it!”
Shayna came over after work and we listened to “Hell’s
Best Kept Secret” together for the first time. We
thank God that He opened our eyes to “behold wondrous
things out of thy law” just as Psalm 119:18 says.
Tony: Since coming across this teaching God has stretched
me so much. He has allowed me to see more light from the
scriptures beyond what I ever thought the Bible contained.
And He continues to enlighten me with His wisdom and knowledge.
God has taken away from me the prideful walls of denominations
and that our major concern should be to spread the gospel
in unity, biblically and effectively the way Jesus did (Philippians
1: 27). I could go on and on what God has revealed to me
from His Word since learning “Hell’s Best Kept
Secret” but I will let God show you what He has showed
me instead of me telling you what God has showed me.
Shayna: That week we placed our first order for gospel tracts
and the following week we joined the School of Biblical
Evangelism. We were both soaking in everything that Living
Waters offered. At the age of 7 Jesus Christ became Lord
of my life and I have been growing closer to Him ever since.
Growing up, most people would classify me as a “good
girl”. I steered clear from the worldly music, friends,
parties, boys, etc. and did my best to have a good, clean
testimony. I did have zeal for the lost, but very rarely
went out of my way to share my faith. Since listening to
“Hell’s Best Kept Secret”, God has granted
me a greater desire, more boldness, lots of compassion,
and much confidence to go out of my way and speak with people
about their eternal destination! I am so glad that God chose
to open my eyes and use me in such a way. The desires of
my heart have changed so much since hearing this message
and I praise the Lord for opening the eyes of Ray Comfort
and for his faithfulness to share it with the whole world!
Tony: EBC 9 Atlanta, Georgia was my first boot camp and
I’m so thankful to God that I was able to experience
it. Words can’t even begin to describe what boot camp
is like. Being able to see the unity and fellowship among
so many believers was surreal. EBC 9 has added fuel to the
fire in my bones. My prayer life has changed and compassion
for the lost has increased. I thank God.
Shayna: March 15th-19th, 2006 we attended EBC-9 Atlanta,
GA; our first Evangelism Boot Camp. It was amazing—and
that is such an understatement! Tony & I pretty much
do everything together, so when we were separated on to
different teams I was saddened quite a bit. I knew that
God chose the teams and that He knows what is best, but
I could not keep myself from crying that first night. But
after a day on the battlefield I realized that it wasn’t
a bad thing at all. (My dad jokes and says so it only takes
you one day to get over Tony?) Before camp I pretty much
let Tony do the talking in a witnessing conversation, and
by him not being by my side I became the one that was doing
the talking. Tony & I still do pretty much everything
together, but now I am more confident to carry on a separate
conversation with someone, while Tony is talking with someone
else. Also, words cannot explain the unity that I experienced
at boot camp! It was so awesome! About 70 people from all
over the US, from all different denominations and backgrounds,
came together for one cause – to share the Gospel
of Jesus Christ. And there was no division whatsoever. The
worship service on the last day left me speechless. I believe
boot camp is just a few bread crumbs from Heaven and I am
thrilled at the idea that I will be able to spend eternity
with all these fellow seed sowers. God is so AWESOME!!
Our desire is to see that believers are trained and equipped
in biblical evangelism so they too can reach the lost. We
have a small fishing team here in Goldsboro with several
venues for tracting, witnessing, and open air preaching.
